This is a life story, an autobiography of a life unlike any other.
A little background before we proceed.
I now live in Saint George, Utah. I am originally from Phoenix, Arizona. I had a violent childhood, suffered abuse from stepparents, and was bullied in school. I graduated from South Mountain High School in Arizona, then joined the Air National Guard shortly after. During that time I went to BootCamp in Lackland, Texas, then tech school in Memphis, Tennesee, then back to Arizona for a short time before moving to Medicine Bow, Wyoming, where I worked for a logging company and traveled to Cheyenne Air Force Base monthly for guard duty.
Be sure to read my essay, “From the Ground Up: Building a WordPress Business,” where I delve into building a software business from nothing in a few short years.
After the military, I moved (or rather hitchhiked) to Utah, where I met my wife and had two kids. When I first arrived in Utah, I was homeless and lived on the streets for a few months before finding a place to live with others. I ended up here because I was trying to return to Wyoming, where my daughter lived.
Between this were many lifetimes of adventure, shenanigans, and triumph in the face of adversity.
Like my life, this book is a work in progress. If you are here, I likely invited you to read it; you stumbled across it online, or I’m six feet under. Either way, I hope you enjoy my story and share it with others, hoping it will encourage someone else to improve every day by showing up, doing their best, and listening to others.
